Pine Crest Is The School Of Innovation

Opened in 1955 in Sanford, Florida, Pine Crest Elementary currently serves approximately 700 students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. In 2018, we were renamed Pine Crest Elementary Magnet School of Innovation and now serve students across the district as a magnet school focusing on computer science and innovation. All students in grades K-5 receive instruction in computer science as well as the design thinking process and engage in self-directed problem-based learning projects. These projects allow them to engage with the community and work to solve student-identified problems at our school, in the local community, or on a state or national scale. Our Innovative Learning Center is a state-of-the-art facility that allows our students the opportunity to use the latest in educational technology and expand their abilities to be the future problem solvers of our community.
